Online training on Corona virus for all staff members
All staff have completed an online training Webinar on Coronavirus to ensure we are aware of the facts, how it is spread and how we can prevent the spread and keep staff and clients safe.
Cleaning & hygiene practices
As there is new advice regarding the length of time the virus can live on surfaces- being up to 9 days, we have increased our cleaning, and hygiene practices. These changes ensure that all staff and clients are protected and stays safe.
We ask that when clients attend our clinic, that you immediately wash your hands with the anti-bacterial soap provided or use the anti-bacterial hand sanitiser provided.
Online appointments via telehealth
If you are self-isolating for any reason, please note that as a service we are able to offer you appointments via telehealth (skype, whats app, and other means). These additional options are also to minimise risk of infection for both staff and clients.
Updates & advice from health departments and government
We are receiving regular and ongoing updates and advice from CDC, Australian Government, NT Department of Health and the NT Chief Health Officer in regards to COVID-19.
Important practices to minimise the spread of the Corona virus
The most important thing for everyone to remember is that good hygiene is the best way to avoid infection of any kind – use a tissue or your elbow to block a cough or a sneeze, keep your hands clean and avoid touching your face.
Frequently clean your hands by using alcohol based hand rub or soap and water
Covering mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing, and throwing tissue away immediately.
Washing hands immediately after coughing or sneezing
Avoid close contact with anyone who has fever and cough
Adopt a no handshaking or kiss-hellos policy.
Maintain at least 1.5 metre between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
If you are unwell, contact your General Practitioner who will assess if you need to be tested for COVID-19 infection and arrange for to you to be tested – call ahead first as there may be protocols in place to prevent the spread of the virus. Testing takes 24hrs. You are required to provide an update within 24hrs of notifying us that you are being tested.
We are taking every measure to ensure the safety or staff and clients.
Further updates and advice will be communicated to you as required.
