The green BIG DRAW 2020
Be part of your creative community, draw, explore, get out and about, and get creative with FREE drawing workshops.
Amid a year packed with climate change, bushfires, protests, and pandemics, we have a series of creative events that focus on a greener, brighter future.
We have a huge range of programs, you can learn from respected Aboriginal Artist Saretta Feilding on how we can create a more connected community with First Nations wisdom at the centre. You can draw Bees with artist Helene Ruma, draw an eco-warrior with artist Susan Vesely and a martial arts trained life model. Learn to grow and draw your own Vegetables with an Urban Farmer and Botanical illustrator. Or book your family picnic and art pack to enjoy in the Museum of Art and Culture’s beautiful sculpture park. All sessions have a limited number of participants to ensure safe social distancing so book early to avid disappointment. Programs are delivered by local Lake Mac artists featured in the RECONNECTED exhibition on display until 11 October.
These workshops are all part of the green BIG DRAW 2020 and proudly provided by Lake Macquarie City Council
