Originally formed in August of 2016, in Newcastle NSW. ClydeStreet is a 5-piece band playing creative interpretations of jazz, country, contemporary and original numbers.
Hard work, tea, beer and laughter combine to produce the ensemble style we love to share with audiences at community events, festivals and private functions.
On U.Bass, baritone, ukulele, harmonica, banjo, keyboard, drums and vocals, ClydeStreet enjoys showing the versatility of skilled ukulele playing. This beautiful instrument plays a significant role in bringing people together to experience the joy of shared music making.
Previously known as Ukenjamit, we decided on a name change to avoid the bias against the ukulele. We had several years working out of a shed in the old lamp works on Clydestreet and hence our new name.
Rehearsing 2-3 times a week, we continue to make music for the pleasure of our audience, to improve performance skills and just to have fun!
To assist the Club’s efforts to comply with COVID-19 restrictions this will be a ticketed event.
