It was an era of community spirit. Generations of girls across our region grew up learning valuable skills through the Brownies, Girl Guides, and the Girls’ Life Brigade
Our film Cameras were often in local towns and suburbs, capturing the parades and ceremonies that built strong friendships and fulfilled lives
It was all about connecting, having fun… and getting out to make a difference
The “Cents for Service” campaign was all soap suds and smiles for this group of Brownies, where washing cars was the order of the day
And the “Willing Shilling” fundraising drive, where Guides helped neighbours with gardening and house keeping duties
But of course, all that hard work led to the ultimate reward: the all-important Badge presentation
At Long Jetty, eight dedicated Guides from First Tuggerah Lakes received the prestigious Queen’s Guide Award
